Inbox: work that needs you, and messages you saved
Open Inbox to find work that needs you and messages you saved.
The Inbox brings two lists from your own connected machines into one place: Needs you (waiting agents and tasks for you) and Saved for later (messages you bookmarked). Open the relevant agent or board to take the next step.
Where to find it
After signing in to Coral Hub, open the Inbox tab in your dashboard, or go to /inbox, to find the Needs you and Saved for later sections. The tab shows the same page inside the dashboard and needs Coral v1.4.96 or newer; on an older Coral, use /inbox or the Inbox link in the hub's header. Coral Hub is in closed beta: request access first if your address has not been approved. Already approved? Sign in.
Earlier bookmarks keep working: the old Needs you and Saved addresses on the app forward to the matching Inbox section, and the old guide addresses on this site forward here.
Needs you
What it shows
- Waiting for you: agents waiting for an answer or decision.
- Tasks for you: tasks assigned to the Operator and tasks awaiting review.
- Stuck: agents reporting that they cannot make progress.
- Errors: agents reporting an error.
- Parked: tasks for you that have been parked.
Open the work to respond
The Inbox has no reply or approval buttons. Use Open agent or the board link to return to the work. What you can do there depends on the machine's effective access mode; see the Hub guide.
Clear items you have dealt with
You can clear Waiting for you, Stuck and Errors items; tasks for you stay until the task changes. Clearing hides an item from your Inbox. It does not answer, approve or stop anything: the agent is still waiting, and the Inbox says so each time you clear.
- Dismiss one item: choose Dismiss on its row.
- Clear several at once: choose Clear all. To clear only part of the list, first pick a Machine or a Team in the filters; Clear all then applies to what that filter shows. A confirmation tells you how many items it will clear before anything is hidden.
- Undo: after you clear, a short notice appears with an Undo button. It restores the items you just cleared.
- Find cleared items again: choose Cleared (N) to see them. Use Show again on a row, or Show all again, to bring items back.
If an agent you cleared starts waiting again, or its problem changes from stuck to an error, it comes back to your Inbox, because that is new work for you. A cleared item stays cleared for up to 30 days; if the agent is still waiting on the same thing after that, it returns. There is a limit on how many items can stay cleared; if you reach it, show some again before clearing more.
Clearing is saved with your Coral Hub account, so it is the same on every device you sign in from, and it never changes what anyone else sees in their own Inbox.
Saved for later
Save on the machine, find it in the Hub
- Use the bookmark button on a message in a machine's dashboard.
- Open Saved for later in the Inbox to find saved messages across your machines.
- Open an item to go to its agent or board, then use Saved there to reach the message.
The Hub list does not jump directly to the exact message. Its links take you to the agent or board first.
What it shows
Saved for later lists messages you have saved. The Done section contains saved messages you marked done; choose Show done items to load them. Use Show more when offered to see more items. Save messages and manage their saved state in the machine's dashboard, where your access mode determines what you can do.
When a list is incomplete
Offline machines, failed reads and read limits can leave results incomplete in either section. A partial list does not mean the other machines have nothing waiting or saved. Check the notices before treating a list as empty, retry unavailable machines, or use Read more machines when offered. Show more reveals more items in a list.
