Signing in with Google
Use your Google account to sign in to Coral Hub.
Coral Hub can sign you in with a Google account. GitHub sign-in and email-link sign-in are unchanged and keep working, so you can use any of the three.
How to sign in
https://app.coralhub.dev. When Google sign-in is switched on, Continue with Google appears below the GitHub option.
Which addresses work
- Gmail addresses (
gmail.comandgooglemail.com) work directly, provided Google reports the address as verified. - Work addresses on Google Workspace work too, but a work address that already has a Coral Hub account must be confirmed by email the first time (see If you already have an account). Coral Hub does not sign you in to an existing account on Google's word alone for a work address.
- New accounts follow the same sign-up rules as every other way in. While Coral Hub is in closed beta, a new account can only be created for an address the operator has allowed. A new account from a work address also needs Google to report that address as belonging to your Workspace domain; if it does not, use Gmail, GitHub or an email link. Request access first on the beta page.
- Company sign-in (a single sign-on set up by your employer) is not available.
If you already have an account
Coral Hub accounts are identified by email address. If you already signed in with GitHub or an email link, you can add Google sign-in to the same account, and you then see the same machines and settings and can use any of the methods.
- Gmail address that is the same as your account's address: Google sign-in joins the account straight away.
- Work address that is the same as your account's address: the hub does not sign you in at once. It shows Check your email and sends a message to that address titled “Confirm adding a sign-in to your Coral Hub account”. Open the link in the same browser where you started. It works once, for 15 minutes. The page it opens has a button, Add this sign-in and sign in; pressing it adds Google sign-in to your account and signs this browser in. From then on, Google sign-in works without the email. Asking again sends a newer link and cancels the older one. If you ask too many times in an hour, the hub asks you to wait.
- If the email did not come from you: ignore it. Nothing is added unless the link is opened.
- If the link fails (it is invalid, expired, already used, or opened in a different browser), you see one message that does not say which; start again from the sign-in page.
If you start from the signed-out sign-in page with a different Google address, that flow does not join your existing account; it follows the new sign-up rules above. To add a different Google address to an existing account, use Link Google from inside that account, as described below. Coral Hub does not merge two accounts.
Link Google from your Account page
Sign in to the Coral Hub account you want to keep and open Account. When Google sign-in is offered and the account has no Google method yet, select Link Google. This needs a recent sign-in with an email link or Google; GitHub does not count.
Choose your Google account in the same browser session. A confirmation email goes to the address on that Google account, even if it matches your Coral Hub account address. Open the email link while signed in to the Coral Hub account you started from and confirm. Your existing account address receives notices when linking starts and finishes.
The Google address can be different, provided it and the Google identity are not attached to another Coral Hub account. Your Coral Hub account email stays the same, and its machines and settings remain with that account. If linking fails, return to Account and try again. See the Account guide.
GitHub and email links keep working
Your sign-in methods are listed on your Account page. Signing in with GitHub or an email link does not go through Auth0 or Google. If Google sign-in is switched off or unavailable, those two still work.
If Google sign-in is refused
When a Google sign-in is not accepted, the hub shows a short, generic error (oauth_failed) and does not say why. The hub gives the same error for every refusal. Common reasons are a work address with no account yet that Google does not report as belonging to your Workspace domain, an address Google has not verified, an address that is not on the closed-beta list, a different Google account than the one already linked to your Coral Hub account, or a disabled account.
- Try again from
https://app.coralhub.devin the same browser. - Sign in with GitHub or an email link instead, if you already have an account that way.
- Still stuck? Write to hello@subgentic.ai and tell us the address you used and roughly when. Please do not send passwords or codes.
Privacy
Signing in with Google passes your email address and sign-in details through Auth0, our processor. See the “Who else sees your data” section of Coral Hub Privacy for what Auth0 sees and keeps, and how to ask for your data to be deleted.
